One of the values we hold most dearly at Green Man Coffee Co. is transparency.
We believe that if we are proud of the way we source, roast, and present our coffee, then we should be open about why we do things the way we do—including why our coffee costs what it does. We think our customers deserve that honesty.
Every now and then we hear someone say, “Twenty dollars for a bag of coffee seems expensive.”
And that’s okay.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and there are plenty of less expensive options available. If your priority is simply finding the lowest-priced bag of coffee, you can certainly find one at a supermarket or discount retailer.
But Green Man Coffee Co. was never created to compete with discount coffee.
We are not trying to be the cheapest coffee on the shelf. We are trying to be one of the most memorable.
Our coffee is crafted for the person who appreciates quality over quantity. For the coffee enthusiast who enjoys discovering nuance in every cup. For those who understand that exceptional craftsmanship has value and that mass production inevitably sacrifices individuality.
Our ideal customer is not simply buying caffeine.
They’re investing in an experience.
When we founded Green Man Coffee Co., we had no desire to become “just another coffee company.” The world already has enough of those. We wanted to build something unmistakably different—something rooted in tradition, craftsmanship, and artistry.
How do you compare the price of something that doesn’t aim to be like everything else?
From the beginning, we envisioned Green Man Coffee Co. as a premium brand—not because we wanted to be exclusive for exclusivity’s sake, but because we wanted every part of the experience to reflect excellence. We often describe our aspiration as becoming the Rolls-Royce, Mercedes-Benz, or Rolex of coffee: a brand known for uncompromising quality and timeless craftsmanship.
At the same time, we wanted that experience to remain attainable. We believe exceptional coffee shouldn’t be reserved for the few. For roughly twenty dollars, we believe our customers receive something that far exceeds its price.
What are you actually paying for?
You’re paying for ethically sourced beans selected for their character.
You’re paying for coffee that is roasted by hand over an open oak fire rather than by fully automated industrial machinery.
You’re paying for a roasting philosophy that allows each coffee to express its own natural personality instead of forcing every batch into the same predictable flavor profile.
You’re paying for careful honey curing that helps preserve sweetness, freshness, and the integrity of the bean.
You’re paying for small-batch craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a process that simply cannot be rushed.
Most importantly, you’re paying for something increasingly rare in today’s world: genuine artisanship.
Every bag represents hours of work, years of learning, and a commitment to preserving a tradition that modern manufacturing has largely abandoned.
When you open a bag of Green Man Coffee, we don’t want you to feel like you’ve purchased another grocery item.
We want you to feel like you’ve acquired something crafted by human hands with intention and purpose.
That is why our coffee costs what it does.
Not because it is expensive for the sake of being expensive.
Because it is valuable.
To everyone who has chosen to support Green Man Coffee Co., thank you.
Your support allows us to continue roasting coffee the way we believe it should be roasted—with patience, with integrity, and with respect for the craft. We are honored that you have chosen to become part of our story, and we look forward to sharing many more cups with you.
Coffee as craft. Coffee as art. Coffee as ritual.
This is coffee as an experience.
