Our Grand Opening & Taste Testing Event

Our Grand Opening & Taste Testing Event

When Green Man Coffee Co. first opened its doors, those doors weren’t attached to a café or storefront—they opened onto the internet. Our website became our home, and while we’re proud of what we’ve built online, we knew our beginning deserved something more tangible.

Coffee is meant to be experienced.

It deserves to be seen, smelled, shared, and discussed. It deserves conversation just as much as it deserves careful roasting. That is why we chose to begin our journey with a Grand Opening and Taste Testing Event.

For one afternoon, our online company became something people could walk up to, shake hands with, and experience firsthand.

Visitors were able to see the packaging that we spent countless hours designing—every detail carefully chosen to reflect our philosophy of coffee as craft, coffee as art, and coffee as ritual. They experienced the aroma of our open-fire roasted coffee, with its subtle smoky character and naturally developed flavors that simply cannot be appreciated through a computer screen.

Most importantly, they were able to taste it.

Throughout the event we brewed several variants of our coffee using French presses and traditional moka pots, allowing guests to experience different brewing methods and discover how each one highlights unique characteristics within the beans.

One of the highlights of the day was serving affogato, the classic Italian dessert where rich espresso is poured over frozen custard (gelato or ice cream). For our version, we partnered with another Ozarks favorite—Andy’s Frozen Custard. The combination was simple, traditional, and wonderfully indulgent, reminding us that coffee has always been about bringing people together.

More than anything else, we enjoyed the conversations.

We met dozens of new people, heard their stories, answered questions about our roasting process, and watched as complete strangers became friends over a shared cup of coffee.

We were fortunate enough to sell several bags of coffee, (in fact we completely sold out) introduce many new people to our online store, and gather thoughtful reviews from those who sampled our work.

Those reviews meant more to us than we can adequately express.

Launching a business is filled with uncertainty. Every roaster wonders if others will appreciate the countless hours spent refining every detail. Hearing genuine feedback from people tasting our coffee for the first time gave us something invaluable: confidence.

Your encouragement strengthened our belief that this mission is worth pursuing.

At the moment, Green Man Coffee Co. remains what we set out to become—coffee roasters.

We are not yet brewers. We are not yet a coffee shop. Our focus remains on sourcing exceptional beans, roasting them over open fire, and sharing them through our online store.

But that is only the beginning.

Over the coming months you’ll begin seeing Green Man Coffee Co. in more places. We’ll be attending farmers markets, community events, festivals, and gatherings throughout the Ozarks and beyond. We also look forward to visiting independent coffee shops, meeting passionate owners, and introducing them to our coffee in hopes that our beans may one day become part of their own communities.

We’ll travel wherever people are willing to gather around good coffee.

And someday—perhaps sooner than even we expect—we hope to create a permanent home for Green Man Coffee Co.

A place where our philosophy comes fully to life.

A place where roasting, brewing, conversation, craftsmanship, and community exist under one roof.

A Green Man Coffee Shop.

Until then, we are deeply grateful to everyone who attended our Grand Opening and Taste Testing Event. Thank you for your conversations, your encouragement, your curiosity, and your willingness to support a small company pursuing an old-fashioned vision of coffee.

Every cup we roast is an invitation.

An invitation to slow down.

To appreciate craftsmanship.

To rediscover ritual.

To experience coffee not as a commodity, but as something worth savoring.

We’re honored to have shared that experience with you, and we’re even more excited for what lies ahead.

The journey has only just begun.
