At Green Man Coffee Co., we believe that coffee is more than something you consume.
It is something you experience.
Every bag we produce has already traveled through a process unlike almost any other coffee. Each batch has been carefully roasted over an open oak fire, guided by hand rather than automation, and finished with our honey-curing process to preserve the bean’s natural character.
Our craft is only the beginning.
The rest of the experience belongs to you.
Continue the Craft
Primitive roasting methods deserve thoughtful brewing methods.
While our coffee can certainly be prepared in a modern drip coffee maker, we encourage you to slow down and experience it through brewing methods that allow you to participate in the craft.
Some of our favorite methods include:
- French Press
- Chemex Pour-Over
- Moka Pot
- Hario V60
- AeroPress
- Percolator
Each of these methods asks something of the person preparing the coffee. They require attention, patience, and intention. Rather than pressing a button and walking away, you become part of the process.
The brewing itself becomes a ritual.
Slow Down
Modern life has become increasingly focused on speed.
Faster meals.
Faster communication.
Faster work.
Faster coffee.
We believe there is tremendous value in slowing down.
Watch the water begin to boil.
Watch the transformation.
Take in the aroma as it fills the room.
Listen to the gentle bubbling of the Moka pot or the quiet bloom of a pour-over.
Observe the colors changing as the coffee develops.
These small moments often become the most meaningful part of the day.
Coffee as Meditation
Preparing coffee can become an act of mindfulness.
Rather than rushing toward the next obligation, allow yourself to remain fully present with what you are doing.
Notice the sound of the kettle.
Feel the warmth of the mug.
Watch the steam rise.
Pay attention to each movement.
There is something deeply satisfying about completing a simple task with care and intention. In many ways, brewing coffee reminds us that beauty often lives in ordinary moments when we choose to notice them.
Make It an Art
Art is not limited to paintings or music.
Art is anything done with craftsmanship, attention, and care.
Brewing coffee can become an art.
Experiment with your grind size.
Adjust your water temperature.
Discover how different brew methods reveal different characteristics within the same bean.
Develop your own routine until every movement feels natural.
The cup you create becomes uniquely yours.
Enjoy Your Ritual
Across cultures and throughout history, coffee has brought people together.
It has fueled conversations.
Inspired artists.
Encouraged philosophers.
Comforted weary travelers.
Welcomed friends.
Marked quiet mornings.
Those traditions are worth preserving.
When you prepare Green Man Coffee, we invite you to make it your own ritual.
Set aside the distractions.
Take your time.
Enjoy the process as much as the result.
Because while we have devoted ourselves to the craft of roasting, the craft continues in your hands.
And when both crafts come together, coffee becomes what we believe it was always meant to be—
Not simply a beverage…
But an experience!
